Does anyone have an suggestions on computer courses?
I grew up with a computer readily available throughout my life, so I would THINK I would be rather tech savvy. Admittedly, I do know how to do a very good amount with a PC, but I seem to seriously (SERIOUSLY) struggle with networks and wireless connections. Does anyone have good suggestions for courses that can be taken to learn about:
1) Networks and Wireless Connections
2) PC computers and Windows
3) Ethical Hacking (so I can test my system to prevent hackers. McAfee is good, but it really isn’t even close to enough, I need to know how to test my systems and ethically hack into them to stop someone else from doing it maliciously. I have no intention of learning to do this to hack maliciously myself).
If anyone has suggestions on any of the three, please let me know. Books are nice, and the "For Dummies" series does a good job, but text only goes so far when you don’t know what they’re talking about sometimes. A class would be helpful.
What is the best possible way (besides a college course) to learn Spanish? ?
I have to take two semesters of foreign language to earn my degree. Spanish seems to fit best in my schedule – I have a REALLY hard time rolling my "R" and just understanding the language. Can someone suggest a program that could help me learn to pronounce right and get a head start before next semester comes?
Are learn.com's small business courses worth subscribing to? Is this information available online for free?
I’ve discovered Learn.com’s web based courses while searching for educational material pertaining to beginning and developing a small business, and before subscribing I need to know if these substantial courses or if it’s a package of material I could access online from sites such as Entrepreneur.com. I noticed there was a "create your own course" option which allows others to submit their own courses, which has me wonder what the standards are for that site. Are there any reviews for this site, or resources for similar websites? Is this a cheaper alternative to visiting a community college?
What is the easiest way to learn Greek?
I am American, knowing only little bits and pieces of quite a few languages, yet I want to actually learn Greek, yet every course online sucks. Any other online courses I can use?
Courses I have tried are:
Kypros.org
Byki
Live Mocha
the iPhone app "Wordpower"
and I believe a few others.
I want to learn to make big money but I don’t know what courses to take, and I’m almost 30… Help please?
I’m a walking mistake. From the day i was born till now, I’ve encountered a lot of hardship in my life. I’m try to make things better for myself, and I’ve decided that I need to know how to make money… and I need to know what sort of college courses should I take to learn about making money. I know there is marketing and finance and economics etc. and I didn’t learn any of those during my schooldays. Is it too late (almost 30) to be in college learning how to make big money? I have a dream of becoming an author but due to my below satisfactory written and spoken English, I need a more realistic job that I’m more capable of being successful in. I’ve started watching "Suze Orman" so that’s a start. Your suggestions and advice are very much appreciates. Thanks!
